Just received my Exam Timetable...

Chinese Oral is just 2 weeks away!



Mom tested me with some past exam questions she found on the web.

Just 3 and a half answers had my mom giddy from my atrocious use of the Chinese language

AND

Me gnashing my teeth from racking my brains for those blasted Chinese vocabularies.



Mom was very disappointed with my answers.

Not only was my Chinese vocabulary bad, but she also felt that my point of view was "morally dangerous".

Mom wanted me to understand, that my performance in the exams are to see whether I have understood what secondary school studies aim for.

A secondary school student shouldn't just be concerned about skill, but also the content and the values of his/her studies.



I was bursting at the seams with frustration and annoyance and we ended up arguing. So, mom decided to end our Chinese lesson and go to the Exam Board website to refresh my memory about the aims of the exams.
