Went to Colmar Tropicale earlier this month...
We went out in the morning...
And it was raining
Our bus was taking people to different hotels, so it took longer to reach Berjaya Times Square (where we were supposed to take a shuttle bus to the resort) than it would've been
In the end, we arrived 1 1/2 HOURS after our shuttle bus left
Seriously!
In the end, the lady at the desk called a taxi for us...
And we ended up reaching the resort a few hours later than we should've been...
We checked in and after a long time of walking around the wrong block at Azalea, we found out that we were living in another block in the resort...
The resort is divided into 8 blocks, each named after a flower, and they were located according to alphabetical order (the block nearest the gate began with 'A' and then a big circle -- or oval, more precisely -- back to the gate with 'H'...)
We were living in block Brunfelsia (which is the 2nd block from the gate)...
Mom and I were really hungry because we had been 'bus-sick' and didn't dare to eat anything (in case we puked -- we were on the top deck of a double-decker), plus, the last time my dad ate was at around 10...
So we had been looking at all the food places that were in the resort, and decided to go to 'La Boulangerie' for a sandwich first...
Mom had wanted a coffee cake, but the last one got sold to a kid just before we finished our sandwiches, besides, we were feeling pretty full (seeing as we were planning to eat somewhere else later on...)
Mom and I got a smoked salmon sandwich and dad had an egg sandwich (mom and dad originally wanted a poppy seed baguette for their sandwich, but they were sold out, so they got a wholemeal baguette... I had a croissant for my sandwich)
Then we started exploring the buildings in and around the resort, and we picked up some pinecones that had dropped (there were so many! Along the whole length of the road outside the resort)
Anyway, I was starting to feel a little sticky (if you know what I mean), so we went back and I took a bath while mom recharged her camera battery...
Then we went down and shopped around the souvenir stores...
We went to 'Les Cadeaux' and bought a lot of stuff: a polo-tee for dad, fridge magnets for mom and dad, and some cute stationery and a notebook for yours truly
Mom didn't know if we wanted to go to 'Le Poulet Roti' or 'La Flamme' (one was more of roasted chicken, and another was a pizzeria...)
I didn't really feel for roasted chicken (especially if you know you're going to eat a lot)
So we went for pizza at 'La Flamme'
Drinks: Mom had lime juice and I had Iced Lemon Tea (they didn't have much choices left since it was so late)
We had a salad (I forgot the whole name, but it's got the word 'Colmar' in it...) with Sauce Vinagrette, which we personally feel, tastes better than French Dressing
Then we had two small-sized pizzas which weren't very small (one mushroom, mainly for me, since all the other pizzas had onions which I absolutely abhor, and mom doesn't like hawaiian pizza; and one more that I forgot)
